Kayaking
Enjoy breathtaking, calm, and peaceful scenery while taking a ride on hired kayaks, and hunting for the exciting adventures on the Trinity River. If you love rafting and love adventure, then this is definitely something you should consider. If you are lucky enough, you may even spot a bear or deer at the shoreline; hopefully at separate times! Watch for bald eagles as they soar overhead too.
Boat Ferries
You can also go on a cruise through the Bay. The best part is that you ride on the last surviving ferry that transported workers of mills all across the Humboldt Bay for decades. Collect some beautiful and wave polished pebbles at the Agate Beach. Agates are semi precious stones used for making pestles.
Lighthouses
The translucent quality of the lighthouses gives them their unique appearance. Do not forget to visit the lighthouse in Trinidad; it holds great historical importance in the county. The view from the top of the monument is mesmerizing and you can literally feel the power of the limitless sea as it crashes just in front of you.
Camping
For camping, you can choose the redwood RV Park as your ideal destination. It is located at the Myers Flat villages, surrounded by Redwoods State Park. You can enjoy boating and swimming in the crystal clear water of the Eel River. You may even pay a visit to the Mad River Fish Hatchery if you want some change.This hatchery is aimed at enhancing production of salmon, trout, and steelhead. You can tour through the hatchery and watch as several processes are employed to meet the objective and feed the fries with pellet machines.
Hiking Trails
For hiking trails with rocky cliffs and sandy peaches all at once, you must explore the state park of Patrick’s point. This dense forest contains a variety of different trees including pine, fir, spruce and many more.
Horseback Riding
It is time to put on your horse riding boots and visit Rodeos for the chance to become a cowboy for a day. There is nothing like sitting on 600-pounds of solid muscle as it gallops you along some beautiful muscle.
